We’ve all heard the news: coconut oil is the new black and I’ve got 20 uses of coconut oil listed below.

This stuff is amazing, it’s the cure-all miracle fat. A little tip though if you’re cooking with it: buy the refined version because it doesn’t leave any coconut-y taste on your food. You can tell when you open the container it’s good for you. It has this great  balmy texture that benefits everything from your lips to toes.

  1. Use it as a basic lotion
  2. You can use it to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy
  3. Use it as an eye-makeup remover
  4. As a cloth diaper safe diaper cream (just rub on baby’s bottom)
  5. Lightening age spots when rubbed directly on the skin
  6. As a naturally SPF 4 sunscreen
  7. Rub it on your lips for a natural chap stick
  8. It’s great for replacing vegetable oil in any recipe
  9. When used consistently on skin it can help get rid of cellulite
  10. Mix it with salt to remove dry skin on feet
  11. As a safe cooking oil for deep frying
  12. Rub it on cuticles to help nails grow
