End the summer with some homemade ice cream in a bag!
- Ice cubes (enough to fill a gallon-sized bag about half full)
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 pint-size ziplock bags
- 1 gallon-size ziplock bag
- any other goodies that you might want to mix in such as fruit or chocolate chips!
Directions:
1. Pour the sugar, milk and vanilla extract into the pint-size bag. Use the 2nd pint-size bag to double bag it just in case of leaks. Make sure both bags are sealed tight.
2. Put the salt, ice and the sealed pint-size bag into the gallon bag. Seal the large bag and start shaking!

3. Once the mixture has hardened, take out the smaller bag out and rinse it to get the salt off. Mix in any extra goodies and enjoy your ice cream!
