Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! If your home isn’t decked out in red and pink hearts everywhere, it’s time to remedy that. Thankfully, we have just the thing. You can put together this paper heart garland super fast, which is perfect for busy moms. We’ve adapted this DIY from Spearmint Baby:

Supplies

  • Old magazines
  • Old paint chips
  • String
  • Scissors
  • Needle

Paper Heart Garland

Instructions

  1. Flip through magazines to find ads and articles that feature red and pink graphics. Cut heart shapes out of these areas.
  2. If you have any paint chips lying around use the solid color squares to cut out hearts of varying shades.
  3. Once you have a decent number of hearts, thread the needle and poke two small holes into each heart. Thread the string through these holes.
  4. Repeat until you have the size of paper heart garland you want to stretch across your entryway, walls, or mantel.

This project is super simple. You can draw a heart-shape on each piece of paper with pencil first to help guide your cutting. And don’t be afraid to choose paper colors that aren’t traditional Valentine’s Day colors. Feel free to match your home’s decor. The hearts themselves will give the space all the Valentine vibe it needs.
