I know what you’re thinking… hopefully it isn’t “enough with the Valentine’s day posts” because I feel like you’re saying “what’s this obsession with Mason jars all of a sudden?”

Personally, I have no idea but they’re so versatile! You can use them to make your own pickles, to plant an indoor herb garden, make cool vases and literally thousands of other things… but one thing’s for sure: they make the perfect vessel for a DIY gift. Here are a couple super simple Valentine’s Mason Jar gift ideas:

Valentine’s S’mores in a Jar

Mason Jar Gift Ideas

You’ll Need

  • 10 x 32 oz Mason Jar
  • Around 80 or so Graham crackers depending on the shape of your jar
  • 2 bags of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Treasures (the ones in the Valentine’s wrapper, because of course!)
  • 2 Bags of Kraft Jet-Puffed Jumbo Heart marshmallows

Directions

  1. Place the chocolates at the bottom of the jar
  2. Line the four sides of the jar with Graham crackers
  3. Fill the remaining space with heart marshmallows in the middle of the jar
  4. Decorate the jar with a homemade tag

Valentine’s Pretzels in a Jar

Mason Jar Gift Ideas

You’ll Need

  • 1 bag of pretzel rods or regular pretzels
  • 1 12-ounce bag of dark, milk, or white chocolate chips
  • Toppings like pink, red, and white Valentine’s Day candy sprinkles, crushed nuts, and coconut flakes

Directions

  1. Using either a microwave or double boiler, melt chocolate chips in the microwave. If using a microwave, heat the chocolate for one minute at a time, checking to make sure they’re all melted as you go along because you don’t want to burn the chocolate
  2. Dip each pretzel so that about half is coated in chocolate and then roll the pretzel over a spatula to remove the excess.
  3. Lay the pretzel on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper to cool for about 2 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the topping of your choice on each pretzel
  5. Let the pretzels dry for at least 24 hours
  6. Once the pretzels are dry, place them in Mason jars
