Children’s Books for Fall

What’s the weather like where you live?  Where we live, it’s been HOT HOT HOT!  Our boys started school around mid-August this year, in the heat of the summer!  During one week, the children had inside recess for lunch every day because it was so hot!

Then one morning, the kids woke up and were very thrown off.  They were so excited that it was a gray and cool morning, with low clouds and cold, misty air!  We got a little taste of what a fall morning feels like.

Our “fall” morning did not last long, and all of the overcast clouds went away, bringing the bright sun out and hot weather back.  We are always grateful for our sunny and beautiful weather, but it was just so exciting to feel a slight change in weather – even if for a morning!  We talked about how it could be a sign that the fall season is coming.  After all, the first day of fall is only around the corner!

That one foggy morning sure got us thinking about autumn.  I got excited too, and started pulling out all of our fall books from our home library.
