Gather some cookie mix ingredients and make an unique, adorable party favor.
All you need is a 32 ounce mason jar. I chose to get the smooth Ball mason jars (found at JoAnn’s) and some ribbon to make it fun and colorful.
Ingredients needed:
- 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup oats
- 3/4 cup m&m’s
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
To put in all the ingredients, layer them like this:
- 1st: flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt
- 2nd: oats
- 3rd: m&ms
- 4th: chocolate chips
- 5th: brown sugar
- 6th: white sugar
- 7th: chopped pecans
Make sure you pack in all the ingredients as you fill up the jar. Otherwise, not all of it will fit.
On the back of the jar use clear labels to print out instructions on how to make the cookies:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir dry ingredients in a large bowl and add: 1/2 cup butter, 1 beaten egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Combine thoroughly. Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls and bake for 10 minutes.
In my case, I used these favors for a baby shower, so I added a nipple on top to make it look like a bottle.
